Mahoney, Damon

Damon Mahoney has been studying dance for nine years and dancing professionally for four. He began his career with Oakland Ballet and has since danced with San Francisco Opera Ballet, San Diego Opera, Savage Jazz Dance, Peninsula Ballet Theatre and Moving Arts Dance. He has trained in classical ballet, lyrical jazz, modern, hip-hop and belly-dancing. In addition Damon studies fire-dancing and knife-dancing. He has always had a fascination for classical Indian dance and music and has studied classical sitar for one year.



Muthana, Dia

Dia Muthana is a highly experienced Bharatanatyam dancer and has studied and practiced this style for over 10 years. She is also proficient in Kathak, which she has received training for over a year now. Apart from the classical dances, Dia has dabbled with garba, raas, hip-hop and Jazz. She enjoys these western dance forms. Her expertise in Indian dances and the ability to grasp western dances forms such as hip-hop and jazz quickly lands Dia a firm spot in Tattva’s team. Amidst her dancing activities Dia also manages to fulfill her role as an online advertising manager at Google. One intriguing fact about her name: In Greek, Dia is an island that's shaped like a lizard and is a habitat for an endangered species of goat. Who would have thought!!

Mody, Seema

Seema is a passionate young professional who has been working in management consulting for the past two years. Prior to consulting, Seema worked for a global biotech firm in Bangalore: Biocon, where she led the assessment of prospective biotechnology investements. Seema is also the co-founder of the American Indian Foundation (www.aif.org) Young Professionals Bay Area Chapter which focuses on investing in education/health-care NGO's in India, and is now the current Development Coordinator of this organization. Seema's main hobby is dancing and is trained in Bharatnatyam. In college, Seema co-lead the first Bhangra Team and was actively involved with the Indian Student Association leadership team. 

Prakash, Mallika

Mallika was born in Delhi, a city which has strands of bygone empires running together in a mystic tapestry of ages and cultures. Legend has it that fire-formed spirits called Djinns have ensured Delhi's vitality, no matter how many conflicts the city had to endure. Mallika has in her Delhi's soul, resolutely re-inventing herself for a more sublime future in the midst of the material present and the nostalgic past. Spinning fire, singing, strumming, sketiching, and painting have ensured romance in all her journeys through the multiple countries, ages, and careers.
