Kadkol, Sneha

Sneha is a physical therapist by profession. An early bloomer, Sneha started her dance training at a very young age in Bharatanatyam. She trained for about 4 years in Mumbai and has been experimenting with Kathak for over a year. She brings to Tattva an inherent passion for dance and theater. Full of life and enthusiasm, Sneha is always eager and willing to learn new things and push the bounds. In other words she is a classic example of the spirit of world dance.

Katir, Venita

Venita Katir has had a passion for dance since she was a child.  She studied Bharatanatyam for 12 years from teachers in the Bay and completed a majority of her training under Sri Prakash Yadagudde at the Bharata Vidya Bhavan in London, England.  A recent graduate of UC Davis, Venita participated in various Indian cultural shows, created the Chandravadanis dance troupe through the Experimental College, instructed a seminar on Indian classical dance and music, and co-choreographed performances for the Apsaras during her time as a student.  She currently teaches in the Bay Area through a national non-profit Teach For America. Venita loves to travel and pick up a new move wherever she goes.

Khandavalli, Sandhya

Sandhya's passion for the arts was apparent at a very young age. She began pursuing Bharatanatyam when she was just 7 years of age.  After 8 years of intense training, she performed her Arangetram in 2000.  She thoroughly enjoys dance and views it as an opportunity to express ones true self as well as gain the physical strength and endurance that the body needs.  In addition to dance, Sandhya has a great passion for South Indian Classical Carnatic music.  She began her formal training under renowned teacher and artist Smt. Jayashree Varadarajan at the age of 4 and performed her first full-fledged solo concert in 2002.  Both art forms prove to be wonderful compliments to one another; music has played a significant role not just in understanding and performing her dance pieces with greater depth but life in general.  Currently, Sandhya lives in San Francisco, CA.  In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and rock climbing.
