Badyal, Ankita Singh
Ankita Singh is a
Product Manager at Cisco Systems Inc. by profession. She has been
studying Kathak since the age of four. Originally born and raised in
Madhya Pradhesh, India she moved to the Unites States at the age of
twelve. In the last 10 years she has participated in various
local/national cultural events, while bringing recognition to the
Kathak & Semi-classical art form. She has also been
affiliated with the prestigious Ms. India California & Ms. India
West Coast Awards, as well as performed nationally at the Miss India
USA Pageant. For her dancing has always been an outlet for
self-expression, and self-discovery. It is a phenomenon that brings
inspiration, motivation, and creativity into her life.
Bhat, Aparna
Aparna is a dance
enthusiast from a very young age. Dance plays a significant role in
Aparna’s life as a powerful expression of love and an anchor to
the present. She believes that dance creates an alignment of the body,
mind and soul which creates quite a holistic experience. These strong
ideals led Aparna to join the Shiamak Dawar dance troupe, a famous
dance troupe in India. More recently her focus has shifted to fusion
dance specifically which makes her a perfect addition to the Tattva
team! If you are around Aparna the chances are she’s smiling her
sweet smile. Aparna is currently a business analyst at Cisco.
Bhattarai, Sameer
Sameer Bhattarai
is an Electrical Engineer by profession. He attended UC-Santa
Barbara where his dancing fetish began. Along with UCSB he’s
performed at a bunch of performances in Portland, Oregon. He enjoys
performing dances such as Hindi film dance/bollywood, bhangra, &
hip-hop.
Chesser, Ponni M.
Ponni is
a highly experienced artist, trained in a variety of Indian classical
dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, MohiniAttam, Kuchipuddi, and
Odissi. She has been part of the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic dance
festival. Ponni has actively performed and choreographed Bollywood
dances in a myraid of stage productions. She has recently been dabbling
with Western classical, ballroom, belly dance, flamenco, and Hula. By
profession, a senior occupational therapist, and an active versatile
dancer, Ponni happens to be a mother of five children that range from
13-23 years!
